Privacy Policy

Welcome to Manyou. This Privacy Policy explains how Hello Juggler LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you use our mobile application and related services (the "App").

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, as well as data automatically collected when you use the App.

• Account Information: When you log in using a third-party single sign-on (SSO) provider (Apple or Google), we receive your email address necessary to create and manage your account, enforce usage tiers, and manage entitlements.
• Anonymous Device Identity: Before you create an account, we assign an anonymous device identifier (a randomly generated UUID) to track your free-tier usage and any in-app purchases. This identifier may later be linked to your authenticated account if you sign in.
• Photos and Exhibit Images: When you photograph an exhibit or placard within the App, we collect and upload that image to generate your audio tour narrative. Explicit Disclosure: These images are retained on our backend storage (Cloudflare R2). We keep these images for product improvement purposes, caching narratives for future users, and to train future on-device similarity matching models. Raw images that did not produce a cached narrative are deleted after 90 days. Images associated with a cached narrative are retained for 36 months from the date of your account deletion, after which they are purged from our systems.
• Location Data: We collect your device's location while you are actively using the App. Location is used for three purposes: (1) to identify which venue you are visiting when you first open a session; (2) to detect when you have moved to a new venue so we can update your session context; and (3) to improve narrative caching by associating exhibits with accurate venue and geographic context. We do not collect location data in the background when the App is not in use.
• Device Information: We collect device-specific information, including your device OS, App version, and a device identifier, to troubleshoot issues, understand usage patterns, and enforce free-tier limits.
• Transaction Data: We offer non-renewing 1-day and 1-week passes via In-App Purchases (IAP). Payment processing is handled entirely by the app store provider (Apple). We do not collect or store your credit card or sensitive financial information; we only receive purchase confirmation tokens to grant you access.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Generate contextual audio narratives based on the images you capture and your location.
• Cache generated narratives and metadata to improve App speed and reduce latency for future users viewing the same exhibits.
• Train and improve our internal systems, specifically for future on-device image similarity matching.
• Manage your account, authentication, and in-app purchase entitlements.
• Detect venue transitions so your session context stays accurate as you move through a visit.
• Monitor and prevent abuse of the free tier and ensure the technical stability of the App.

3. Third-Party AI Services and Your Consent

In-App Disclosure & Consent: Before the App transmits any of your photos or personal data to a third-party AI service for the first time, we display a clear disclosure screen inside the App. That screen identifies the categories of data that will be shared and the specific third-party services that will receive it. You must affirmatively tap "Agree & Generate" for any AI-powered data sharing to occur. If you choose "Not Now," no data is sent to AI services and AI-powered features will not be available. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us at [email protected] or by deleting your account within the App.

Upon your consent, we share specific, limited data with the following trusted third-party service providers:

• AI Narrative Generation
  What data is sent: photos you capture, venue location, and exhibit context (e.g., nearby exhibit names).
  Who receives it: Google and SpaceX for visual analysis and narrative generation.
  No personal details (such as your name or email address) are included in these requests.
• Text-to-Speech (TTS)
  What data is sent: the generated narration text (no photos or personal details).
  Who receives it: SpaceX, Google, or Fish Audio. Your narration text is sent to whichever provider fulfills the request.
• Visual Embeddings
  What data is sent: numerical vector representations of your exhibit images (embeddings) — not the raw photos.
  Who receives it: Cloudflare Vectorize, used for similarity search so cached narratives can be reused for the same exhibit.
• Authentication
  We use Authgear as our OIDC authentication provider. Apple and Google handle SSO credentials and payment processing.
• Infrastructure
  Our backend databases, storage, and API workers are hosted on Cloudflare (D1 database, R2 object storage, Workers runtime, KV store).

Data Protection Confirmation: All third-party AI and TTS providers listed above are contractually prohibited from using your data to train their own models. Each provider is bound by their respective privacy policies and provides the same or equivalent levels of data protection and privacy safeguards as described in this policy.

4. Your Data Rights and Controls

We believe in building strong privacy hygiene from day one. Regardless of your jurisdiction, we offer the following controls over your data:

• Account Deletion: You can permanently delete your account directly within the App's settings menu at any time. Initiating this process will revoke your authentication tokens and queue your user-identifiable account data for deletion. Retained images follow the retention schedule described in Section 1.
• Data Export: You may request an export of the data associated with your account by contacting us at the address below.
• Revoking Permissions: You can revoke the App's access to your camera or location services at any time through your device's system settings, though this will limit core functionality.

5. Cookies and Local Storage (Website)

This section applies to our marketing website (manyou.ai), not the mobile App. We keep the website deliberately lightweight: it sets no advertising or analytics cookies and uses no third-party tracking. We do not load any external analytics, advertising, or social-media scripts, and the site fonts are served from our own servers rather than a third-party font provider, so simply browsing the site does not share your data with any outside company.

The only data the website stores in your browser is:

• Theme preference (local storage): if you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved locally in your browser under the manyou-theme key. It is a functional setting only, never leaves your device, and is not used to identify or track you.
• Preview access cookie (strictly necessary): on password-protected preview versions of the site only, a temporary cookie remembers that you have entered the access code. It is not used on the public site and serves no tracking purpose.

Because we use only this strictly necessary and functional storage — and no tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies — no cookie-consent banner is required. You can clear this storage at any time through your browser settings.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will take steps to delete it.

7. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document or via an in-app notification.
